Thank you to the Charlotte County Veterans Council and Commissioner Stephen R. Deutsch for their time and work hosting the 250th celebration of America's independence on July 4th at the William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park.

The Sheriff's office did a helicopter flyover, the Fire Department hung the American flag, bagpipers played patriotic music, and over 300 people enjoyed cake and celebrating America's birthday.
